Zeal is a personal journaling product for meals, water, movement, and sleep, published by Meteoric Creates. Public pages explain the product and host educational guides. The private journal lives at /app/.

How do public pages relate to the private journal?

Anyone can read Home, Guides, About, FAQ, policies, and authors without signing in. Ads—when enabled—may appear only on substantial public content (Home and individual guide articles). The journal at /app/ is for logging; it does not show AdSense units.

Guides can deep-link into /app/ with actions like water, meal analyze, workout, or sleep. That unlocks a short checklist; it does not publish private data on the guide page.

Where do ads appear—and where must they never appear?

Public content pages with original writing may load Google AdSense after cookie consent (Accept personalized, Allow limited, or Reject). Ads do not appear on Privacy, Terms, Disclaimer, Advertising disclosure, About, Contact, FAQ, author pages, guides index, HTML sitemap, 404, or inside /app/.

What personal data does the journal handle?

Meal, water, workout, sleep, and optional body metrics can stay on-device (local-first) or sync when the user signs in to optional cloud storage. Wear OS pairing and health imports are optional. We do not sell journal contents to advertisers.

Are AI meal photos accurate?

No. Optional AI photo analysis produces rough estimates. Oils, sauces, packaging, lighting, and portions are common failure points. Results are not lab measurements and must not be used as medical advice. Manual logging remains available.

What about Wear OS, GPS, and Live Activities?

Watch pairing is optional. Sensor values depend on the device and permissions; they are not clinical-grade. Outdoor GPS workouts offer battery modes (precise / balanced / battery saver). Lock-screen Live Activities require a native shell; the web journal alone cannot draw a Dynamic Island.

How do educational guides work?

Guides are original Meteoric articles with author credit, updated dates, related links, and Try this in Zeal CTAs. The full library is English; Japanese, Spanish, and German offer a top guides selection under /ja/guides/, /es/guides/, and /de/guides/.

A guides newsletter (signup on the guides index) is separate from the weekly journal email digest in Settings—no meals or weight in that list.
