This Privacy Policy describes how Meteoric Creates handles information when you use Zeal public pages and the private journal app.
Who we are
Meteoric Creates (“we,” “us,” or “Meteoric”) publishes Zeal (also called Zeal). The product site is zeal.meteoriccreates.com. The studio brand site is meteoriccreates.com. Contact: contact@meteoriccreates.com.
This Privacy Policy covers (1) Zeal public pages (home, guides, About, Contact, policy pages, authors, and related HTML), (2) the private journal at /app/, including optional Wear OS pairing, and (3) how advertising technologies may run on public content pages.

Health boundary (important)
Zeal is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or clinical care. Journal totals, BMI displays, hydration targets, workout logs, sleep summaries, check-ins, educational guides, and AI meal estimates are for personal awareness only.
If you have a medical condition, allergy, eating disorder history, pregnancy, or any health concern, talk with a qualified professional before changing diet, exercise, medication, or supplements based on anything in Zeal.
Information you provide
Account details when you sign in or create an account: email address, authentication credentials (handled by our auth provider when cloud auth is enabled), and profile preferences such as display name, language, height, weight, and daily targets.
Journal entries you choose to save: meals (including optional photo-derived estimates), hydration logs, workouts, sleep sessions, check-ins, notification preferences, and exports you generate.
Watch pairing information you initiate: pairing codes, device tokens, and sensor payloads the watch sends while paired.
Support emails you send to us, including whatever you choose to include in the message body. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive medical records by email.
Information stored on your device
The journal may use browser local storage and similar technologies as a cache and offline aid for sign-in state, theme and appearance preferences, advertising consent choices, watch pairing tokens, and journal data.
You can use Zeal in an offline / on-device mode without cloud sync. Clearing site data for this domain removes local copies on that browser. Exports you download are under your control on your device.
Cookies, local storage, and Google AdSense
We use essential browser storage to operate the site and remember preferences such as advertising consent and appearance settings.
On public content pages with substantial original writing only (Home and individual guide articles—not the guides index, About, or Contact), Google AdSense and related Google advertising services may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads, subject to your consent choices where required. Personalized ads load only after you accept them. You may choose limited/non-personalized ads or reject advertising cookies.
Privacy, Terms, Disclaimer, Advertising disclosure, About, Contact, the HTML sitemap, author index/bio pages, and 404 pages do not display ads. We do not place AdSense units inside the private journal at /app/—including dashboards, meal analyzer, workout/sleep entry, watch pairing screens used to manage a device, or Settings screens that primarily manage personal data.
We do not use sensitive health journal contents (meals, BMI, sleep scores, workouts, hydration totals) to personalize ads.
Learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Manage ads at adssettings.google.com. Industry opt-out tools may also be available via aboutads.info.

Servers, providers, and AI food-photo analysis
Hosting and API functions (including Netlify Functions where deployed) may process pairing codes, device tokens, latest watch sensor payloads needed for live sync, meal-analysis requests, and operational events used to keep the product reliable.
When configured, authenticated journal data may sync to our database and auth provider (Supabase) under your account.
If you analyze a food photo, the image is sent to our analysis pathway and may be processed by Google Gemini (or a similar model) to return a nutrition estimate. Avoid uploading sensitive non-food information in those images.
AI photo results are assumptions generated by a model. They are not laboratory measurements and are not fully accurate. Portion size, oils, sauces, dressings, packaging, lighting, and mixed dishes are frequently misread. Treat estimates as optional journaling shortcuts—not medical or dietary advice.
If you provide your own Gemini API key in Settings, that key stays in your browser session and is sent only with your analysis request. If you use the server analysis password instead, the request is authorized against our configured server key.
Wear OS and sensor data
Wear OS pairing is optional. After you generate a code and pair a watch, the watch may send heart rate, steps, motion, GPS, workout, or sleep-related payloads to our sensor endpoint so the journal can display live or imported sessions.
Sensor data is used to operate pairing and journaling features you request. It is not sold. Disconnecting or clearing pairing on the device stops new sync from that token on that browser.
Notifications and exports
Reminders are optional. In-tab browser notifications require permission and only fire while the journal is open. Push reminders use a stored subscription so nudges can arrive with the tab closed. Email reminders (when enabled) go to your account email. Turn any channel off in Settings.
Export tools let you download JSON or CSV copies of journal domains you choose to export. Keep downloads secure on your device.
Legal bases and regional choices
Where required, including for many visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, we rely on consent for non-essential advertising cookies and personalized ads. You can withdraw consent by rejecting ads in the cookie banner on content pages (Home and individual guide articles), using Google Ad Settings, or clearing site data and choosing again. Placement rules are explained on the Advertising page.
Essential storage needed to operate the journal and remember required preferences may still be used. If we enable a Google-certified consent message (Funding Choices) for your region, that message may appear in addition to or instead of our site banner.
Retention
Local cache remains until you delete it or clear browser data. Cloud account data remains until you delete it or request deletion where available. Pairing codes expire quickly.
Food images are processed to return an estimate and are not kept as a public photo library. Advertising technology retention follows Google’s policies for partners.
Your choices
Update preferences, export data, sign out, delete on-device data, disconnect a watch, change advertising consent via the cookie banner on content pages, or deny browser permissions for camera, microphone, location, or notifications.
You may decline AI photo analysis by not using the camera/photo meal features and logging meals manually instead.
For privacy requests about a cloud account, email contact@meteoriccreates.com from the address on the account and describe the request clearly.
Children
Zeal is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child provided information, contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a consumer journaling product. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Our hosts and processors may operate in the United States or other countries. If you use Zeal from another region, you understand your information may be processed in countries with different data-protection rules.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy where permitted by law.
